ABOUT US
TFMUN was founded on the idea that all students deserve equal opportunities to experience and enjoy Model United Nations. Our Secretary Generals, Mina Kim and Alinah Premji, had the idea to create TFMUN after noticing how increasingly exclusive MUN conferences were becoming. They built the principles of the conference based around the example Terry Fox sets for all students, and hope to exemplify those in upcoming months. Our Secretary Generals gathered a team of passionate and experienced staff who look forward to turning TFMUN into a reality.
With TFMUN, we hope to give all students the opportunity to experience Model United Nations, without having to foot the bill for a fancy hotel or expensive Vancouver conference. We hope that students from all walks of life will join us for a day of diplomacy, debate, and growth. We also hope to inspire other tri-city schools by demonstrating that you don’t need to be a private school student to engage in the world of MUN. Terry Fox Model United Nations exists to provide chances to those who may not receive them and create an amazing conference for all to enjoy.
