MINA KIM

Secretary-General

Mina Kim is a junior attending Terry Fox Secondary School and is honoured to serve as secretary general for the prime iteration of Terry Fox Model United Nations. Ever since attending her first conference, she has been drawn into the world of immense debating and the amazing meme sessions at the near end of conference days. Growing up in largely contrasting cultures such as Russia, South Korea, Poland and travelling to various different countries gave her the privilege of obtaining new knowledge that resides with her while discussing relevant world issues. Aside from MUN, she can be found drinking light ice bubble tea, going to climate strikes and browsing Pinterest searching up "Gordon Ramsay memes". Mina is more than ecstatic to greet delegates from all walks of life in this upcoming conference.

ALINAH PREMJI

Secretary-General

Alinah Premji is a grade 11 student at Terry Fox Secondary and is delighted to act as secretary general for Terry Fox Model United Nations 2019. Although she was hesitant to speak, Alinah fell in love with the insightful debate and politically-charged atmosphere of her first conference. MUN has allowed her to explore diplomacy and global affairs, something that she has passionately pursued over the years. Alinah has been given the opportunity to discuss issues that have immense impacts on today’s political climate, and she hopes to provide others with the same experiences. Outside of MUN, Alinah can be found in her school theatre’s tech booth (attempting not to make anything explode,) baking new recipes, travelling the world, or adding to her ever-expanding collection of musical instruments. Alinah is thrilled to welcome beginner and expert delegates alike to a day of new experiences and incredible opportunities.

NEILAN TAN

Chief of Staff

Serving as your Chief of Staff and Chair for HJCC - Suez Canal Crisis’ Tripartite Alliance Bloc, Neilan Tan is a Grade 11 student attending Gleneagle Secondary School. Neilan started MUN as a beginner like everybody else but soon showed his tactical and strategic debate skills through winning Outstanding Delegate at his first conference. Neilan hopes to cultivate clueless and young students like he once was into confident and succinct debaters. Outside of his serious persona as a role model in TFMUN, Neilan enjoys going on spontaneous adventures and journeys whether it be swimming in the ocean or camping in the middle of nowhere, hanging out with the friends and family he loves, and contemplating life until he creates his own crisis committee. Through his love for exhilarating debate, coordinated and controlled arguments, and desire to come to satisfying solutions, Neilan is excited to see the experienced debaters and young fledgeling Model United Nations delegates come to learn and experience at TFMUN. Above all, he wishes all delegates, staff and secretariats a wonderful time!
